Saudi Bombing Suspect Being Deported on National Security Grounds

Just after President Obama had a secret unscheduled meeting with a Saudi government official, it has been reported that the original suspect in the Boston bombing, a Saudi national, will be deported on national security grounds.

This is a chilling echo of events just after the 9/11 attacks. When all Americans were grounded from flying and trapped in cities across the country and around the globe, family members of Osama Bin Laden were given special privilege to fly and were spirited out of the country.

Meanwhile, an American citizen is being held as an enemy combatant, subject to torture without the privilege of his Miranda rights.
