Black Knight Satellite Mystery

1927-28 – Norwegian scientists, led by Carl Stoermer (Professor of Mathematics, University Oslo) record Long Delay Echoes (LDE) from radio broadcasts, measuring minutes to hours apart. To this day the phenomenon cannot be explained.

1953 – Famed astronomer and discoverer of Pluto, Clyde Tombaugh, begins work on a project for the Army Office of Ordnance Research alongside Dr. Lincoln La Paz, a fellow astronomer and meteor expert who had secretly worked for the military previously investigating the Green Fireballs UFO phenomenon. According to the Army, the project was meant to locate natural, near-Earth satellites which could be used as Donald Keyhoe, who wold go on to become director of NICAP, the true purpose of the project was to identify two objects which had suddenly appeared on long-range radar. In 1954 Aviation Week breaks a story, which is picked up by major newspapers the following day, that the project has led to the discovery of two near-Earth satellites, at a range of 400 and 600 miles. Despite alleged confirmations by inside sources for publications such as the New York Times, La Paz denies ever working for such a project, and Tombough refuses to comment in an interview with Popular Mechanics in late 1955. The Army has never released the results of the study.
a space-station. However, according to

1957 – An object is tracked shadowing Sputnik I, the first man-made satellite to be launched into Earth's orbit.  Two months later, Dr Luis Corralos of the Communications Ministry in Venezuela photographs an object while taking shots of Sputnik II passing over Caracas.

1960, February – North American Air Defense System (NORAD predecessor) detects object with a mass of 15 metric tons in polar orbit, using their newly operational "Dark Fence" detection system. Check out today's Space Fence program.) It is several times larger than anything the US or Soviets are capable of launching into orbit at that time. The object, dubbed “Black Knight” by the military, is tracked for three weeks and abruptly disappears. Ham radio operators once again report LDE phenomenon during this period. One radio operator claims to detect a coded message translated to be a map of the star-system Epsilon Boštes.

1960 – “Bracewell Probe” theory first proposed in an article published in Nature magazine by Professor Ronald Bracewell of Stanford University.

1960, September 3 - Unidentified satellite photographed by a tracking camera at the Bethpage plant of Grumman Aircraft Factory on Long Island, at 8:51 PM, seven months after it first appeared on radar. It could sometimes be seen from the ground as a red glowing object moving in an east-west orbit at a time when most satellites moved West-east.

1963 - On the last pass of his 22-orbit mission, American Astronaut Gordon Cooper reports to the Muchea tracking station in Australia, that he sees a glowing green object ahead of him in space which appeared to be closing in on his capsule. The station picks up a radar return of the object and confirms that it is traveling in an East-West orbit. Later, officials claimed he was hallucinating as a result of an electrical malfunction and carbon dioxide poisoning. He will not be the last Astronaut to see an unidentified object.

1967, August 3 – Three ton object slams into Sudan desert. It is of unknown origin, and presumably larger than anything that could be put into orbit until the Saturn V rocket went operational on 9 November of that year. Object is cube shaped and made up of many two inch by one inch rectangular pieces of aluminum-like soft metal packed together tightly under a woven shroud. There are no markings. Was this a crash landing of the Black Knight Satellite? Was there, or is there perhaps more than one such inexplicable object in the space near Earth?

1970’s - Scottish astronomer Duncan Lunan interprets the 1927 LDE’s as a star map of Epsilon Boštes, as it would have appeared from Earth 13,000 years ago. It is published by British Interplanetary Society, Journal of the Society of Electronic and Radio Technicians, and Analog, among others.

Since then, a number of other objects have been speculated about as being the Black Knight, or perhaps a similar object. Other sources have come up with tales from supposed insiders, of NASA secrets and covert missions to recover a monolith in 1972. Some speculate that a bizarre radio signal picked up in 2004 on the Cassini mission near Saturn, may have been the mysterious Black Knight once again.

Here is what interpreter and former Airforce Sgt. Clifford Stone had to say about it...

C: Well, I’ll tell you this, I think that by 2016 that something better have happened. Because at 2016 I think that we’re going to have to announce to the world that there’s a probe that comes very close to the Earth every 15 or 20 years. And we’ve been calling it an asteroid. It’s not an asteroid. But it actually in reality is an artificial probe. In other words, somebody else put it here. They have found us long time ago. The technology will probably be pretty much on a par to, say, Voyager. It’ll be old antiquated technology by all their standards.

K: So what are you saying? Is this probe… do you know what race?

C: I’m saying we have already found it. Our paradigm says that it can’t be an artificial craft of any sort, therefore we refuse to accept that and we call it an asteroid. I’m talking about BG1991. Roughly 30 meters in diameter, highly polished surface. Asteroids don’t have a highly polished surface. It took corrective course changes to avoid collision with another asteroid. That don’t happen. This one it did.

K: So where... what race is this from, from what planet? Do you know?

C: I don’t know.

Crackpot? Perhaps. Some testimony is stronger than others, and some data is better and more thorough than other evidence. But is certainly seems clear, that there have indeed been unexplainable objects in our skies. That is not to say little green men from Mars either. That is often the supposition, if in many of the sources I have linked here, but not necessarily the truth. Perhaps even, these objects are remnants of some long lost, ancient civilization right here on Earth, that reached a pinnacle of technology before collapsing under it's own weight, like the fabled Atlantis.

Here is what I dug up on YouTube about the Black Knight. Not really too much there. Not a very popular conspiracy theory for the most part, but one that is quite interesting to most of us who stumble across it.

How about some theme music...

NSA Document Proves Alien Contact

According to this document, 29 messages from outer-space were intercepted and subsequently published in a National Security Agency technical journal. This document is a "key" created in order to interpret the messages. So we don't really know what the messages actually said, or if they were even successfully unlocked, but this document appears to prove that the NSA has in fact intercepted at least 29 radio messages of extra-terrestrial origin. When these messages may have been picked up, how they were heard, is anyone's guess at this point. But this seems to prove the we have indeed heard from aliens and the NSA knows it.

The pdf document is linked here directly from the NSA, so there is no question that the document is authentic:

Secrets and Mysteries of An Underground World

It's no secret that underground places have long offered a refuge for mankind, particularly in times of trouble. The ancient underground cities of Cappadocia are a wonderful example of the lengths man will go to in order to use the Earth for protection against danger.

Derinkuyu, Underground city, Ancient Village or Ancient refugee settlement?(VIDEO)

But today we don't really think of underground cities as being part of our modern reality. Our houses have basements where we might hole up in case of a bad storm, maybe a tornado shelter out in the yard. Many of our cities do extend underground with utility tunnels and subway tunnels, but we don't really think of those places as underground cities. In places like London the stark utility corridors beneath the city did serve as a place of refuge from the bombs of enemies, but areas like that beneath our cities are not designed for permanent nor comfortable living.

During the Cold War some folks took to building actual bomb shelters in their basements and back yards. Larger buildings like schools and office buildings stocked more elaborate fallout shelters in their basements. Of course, the government had the most elaborate facilities dug below ground and under mountains. Thousands of subterranean nuclear missile silos were all answerable to what may be the world's most famous underground bunker.

Cheyenne Mountain Complex (VIDEO)

The Cold War is over now though. The mission of NORAD still exists, but has taken on a largely different more diversified role than the bunker was originally purposed for. Nuclear missile silos have been abandoned or sold off as unique real-estate opportunities. Fallout shelters have become the relics of a bygone era, sometimes tourist attractions, but mostly used to store old furniture.

The threat of a nuclear holocaust being rained down on us from the skies above is over. The need for these underground secret and secure places appears to have passed. Or has it really?

Conspiracy theories abound of secret underground places of all sorts. Everything from new and ongoing construction, to secret bases infested with aliens, even to a theory that the Earth itself is actually hollow and an populated by a hidden civilization.

Hollow Earth (VIDEO)

Hollow Earth, aliens? Well, maybe maybe not. That's a big leap, but we need less faith for other theories, especially when seeing is believing. There are rumors of a vast underground network of cities, massive storage facilities, roadways, and maybe even a supersonic underground railroad. The network is believed to span the entire continent with hubs in many major cities.

I personally have spoken with a truck driver who made numerous deliveries to a massive underground facility just outside of Albany, the state capitol of NY, which he described as being much like what we are about to see here in these videos. This was about two years ago now, and he said the facility appeared to still be under construction. He is not really the conspiracy theory sort at all, an old school hard working, simple sort of man, so I didn't really have any reason to doubt him. But of course, you can't believe everything you read on the internet, and my acquaintance did not provide me with any pictures that I could share with you. Fortunately, other truck drivers have captured glimpses of facilities like this all over the country.

This particular branch of the conspiracy theory realm is often termed "D.U.M.B.S." or Deep Underground Military Bunkers. I believe this is a bit of misnomer though. From what we see there in those very real bits of footage it there is nothing specifically military, but rather they appear to be corporate controlled facilities. That is not to say that the military is not involved at all of course, or ultimately in charge even, but the corporate influence cannot be ignored.

The Iron Mountain company is a leading example of a relationship between government and the corporate world when it comes to underground secrets. Established on the banks of the Hudson River in 1951, the company was reformed in the 1970's and now it's most famous facility the one featured in this news report.

One curious point I note though, is the difference between what we see there in the Iron Mountain video, and what we saw in the other videos. The sheer difference in size, when it comes to the dimensions of the tunnels and passageways is curious indeed. Then of course, we also have to ask why companies and/or the government are going to such expense, a hidden expense at that, for such a vast underground network. Surely all of these facilities can't be there simply to store business documents and historical artifacts.

And again, we have to consider that these facilities may be interconnected, all or most of them anyway. Numerous truck drivers have reported driving from one region of the country to another, completely underground. Frankly, I believe that much. The way they talk about it, certain details, just strikes me as credible testimony. The technological feat is impressive, but not impossible. The only reason I would really have to doubt it, is that there is no clear or obvious motivation for the power that be to go to all that trouble, unless of course they know something they aren't telling us. (Or, maybe this is just the way the uber-wealthy piss away their fortunes while the working stiff hovers on the edge of starvation in order to feed their corporate mechanisms.)

If we accept that this underground network of cities, facilities and roadways does indeed exist, then it is no stretch to accept the evidence of a massive facility under the Denver airport. The evidence of that is already strong anyway. But an airport right smack dab in the middle of the country would be ideal as a central transportation and distribution hub for goods to be transported by air, on land, and below it. Not to mention the fact too that the Denver airport is not very far from the Cheyenne Mountain facility in Colorado Springs, the central hub of U.S. military power outside of the Pentagon, and the one most likely to have command of U.S. forces after some cataclysmic event like nuclear war or perhaps an asteroid impact.

So all in all, it looks like some of the stuff that conspiracy theorists are admonished for, and called crackpots or lunatics, actually has some pretty common sense conclusions. Maybe we don't know exactly why they are doing this, but at the same time, it really doesn't seem any more far-fetched than a secret underground bunker for Congress under a famous resort.

Alien Code Written In Our DNA?

Scientists from Kazakhstan believe that human DNA was encoded with an extraterrestrial signal by an ancient alien civilisation, Discovery.com reports.

They call it "biological SETI" and the researchers claim that the mathematical code in human DNA cannot be explained by evolution.

In a nutshell, we're living, breathing vessels for some kind of alien message which is more easily used to detect extra terrestrial life than via radio transmission.

"Once fixed, the code might stay unchanged over cosmological timescales; in fact, it is the most durable construct known," the researchers wrote in scientific journal, Icarus. "Therefore it represents an exceptionally reliable storage for an intelligent signature.

"Once the genome is appropriately rewritten the new code with a signature will stay frozen in the cell and its progeny, which might then be delivered through space and time."

The scientists also claim that human DNA is ordered so precisely that it reveals an "ensemble of arithmetical and ideographical patterns of symbolic language".

Their research has led the scientists to conclude that we were invented "outside the solar system, already several billion years ago".

The thesis supports the hypothesis that Earth is the result of interstellar life forms distributed by meteors and comets.

So if we are just vessels for alien communication, exactly what kind of secret message are we carrying in our DNA?

And if we were the creation of aliens, who created them?

Bizarre 'Alien' Skulls Unearthed In Mexico Are More Than 1,000 Years Old Scientists Say

Mainstream scientists don't seem to be challenging the find as a hoax. It was a legitimate archeological dig that uncovered these bizarrely shaped skulls in the outskirts of a Mexican village, Onavas, south of Sonora. They do not claim they have uncovered aliens though, but rather examples of skull-binding, or the deliberate malformation of the skull as a sign of social status.

'This is the first pre-Hispanic cemetery in the state,' say the researchers. 'It is 1000 years old. These practices of cranial deformation and dental mutilation have never been seen before in groups in Sonora.'"-Source

Strange elongated or otherwise deformed skulls have been discovered before, from time to time, though never in that region of Mexico. There seems to be an ongoing debate between mainstream science, and UFO/Alien researchers as to whether or not these skulls are proof of another race of beings who once lived on Earth alongside man, or whether these skulls really are just humans who were subject to extreme body modification.

Of course, a lot of conspiracy theorists are quick to call these artifacts alien remains, as in extra-terrestrials, but even if they are not human, that does not necessarily make them from another planet either. For all we know, they are examples of a now extinct race of indigenous humanoid from right here on Earth. Who is to say for sure?

In at least one case, there seems to be substantial DNA evidence to show that not all of these deformed skulls are in fact human at all. So there might be some merit to the notion that mainstream science is engaged in a sort of coverup, or at least in denial, turning a blind-eye to the real science of these discoveries.

DNA Proof of Aliens?

Meanwhile though, we can have a gander at this latest strange discovery. What you are looking at here is not a prop from a movie set or a snippet from a viral ad campaign. That is indeed one of the 13 skulls archeologists pulled out of the Mexican dirt. Freaky.

Pepsi Replaces Sugar With Aborted Fetuses

So what exactly is this magic ingredient that will be appearing in a new version of Pepsi, and how is it made? Unfortunately, those questions are hard to answer. Senomyx... refers to them only as 'enhancers' or 'ingredients'... The products work by triggering receptors on the tongue and tricking your taste buds into sensing sweetness — or saltiness or coolness, in the case of the company's other programs...

So are Senomyx's covert ingredients safe? That, too, is anyone's guess... many of its enhancers have 'been granted'GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) status, but all that means is that the company did its own assessment and then concluded everything was fine. We don't know whether Senomyx did any testing since the company isn't required to submit anything to the FDA.

There's no reason to think that Senomyx's products will cause harm, but until or unless Pepsi decides to share details about how exactly it's achieving a 60 percent reduction in sugar while keeping the taste the same, customers will be drinking their 'scientifically advantaged' sodas completely in the dark.”

The lack of labeling requirements is particularly troublesome and will probably become an issue in the future. Since these compounds (whatever they are) are used in such minute quantities, they don’t have to be listed on the label. They’ll simply fall under the generic category of artificial and/or natural flavors. What this means is that the product will appear to be much “healthier” than it might otherwise be, were a flavor enhancer not used.

According to a 2010 CBS report, Senomyx’s flavor enhancers were already being sold outside the US at that time. For example, Nestle was by 2010 using an MSG flavor enhancer in its Maggi brand soups, sauces, condiments and instant noodles, and Ajinomoto was also using a similar ingredient in products for the Chinese market. This means less of the artificial sweetener is needed to create the same sweet taste as before, but while one could argue that this is a good thing, I suspect we will ultimately learn that this flavor enhancement method has multiple unforeseen adverse consequences — metabolically, and biologically.
Consequences of Food Alteration are More the Rule than the Exception...

There are many reasons why you're better off choosing natural whole foods in lieu of processed alternatives, but one of the primary ones is that junk foods contain additives that increase your toxic load, which in turn may increase your tendency to develop cancer. As of yet, there is NO medical research to back up the assertion that manipulating your taste buds in the way Senomyx’ products do is safe and healthy in the long term. As an example, I would point to the evidence now available showing that one of the reasons why artificial sweeteners do not work as advertised is because the taste of sweet itself is tied into your metabolic functioning in a way that we still do not fully understand... As a result, artificially sweetened products, oftentimes boasting zero calories, actually result in greater weight gain than sweetened products when used “in the real world.”

It's easy to forget that the processed, pre-packaged foods and fast food restaurants of today are actually a radical change in terms of the history of food production. Much of what we eat today bears very little resemblance of real food. Many products are loaded with non-nutritive fillers — purposely designed to just “take up space” to make you think you’re getting more than you really are — along with any number of additives. Many additives have been shown to have harmful effects on mood, behavior, metabolic functioning and biochemistry.

Now, with the introduction of untested engineered flavor enhancers, you’re left wondering whether processed foods with “cleaner” labels really are safer and healthier or not...

Remember, because Senomyx’ flavor enhancers are used in such low concentrations they are not required to undergo the FDA's usual safety approval process for food additives.

The disease trends we're now seeing are only going to get worse as much of the processed foods consumed today are not even food-based. Who knows what kind of genetic mutations and malfunctions we're creating for ourselves and future generations when a MAJORITY of our diet consists of highly processed and artificial foods that contain substances never before consumed by humans in all of history.

Were Meteorites Actually Attacks By Secret U.S. Weapon System?

Just a few hours before U.S. President Barack Obama took to the airwaves with his State of the Union address, he was alerted to a potential crisis in the Pacific.

Two Russian Tu-95H Bear long range strategic bombers were intercepted by U.S. F-15 fighters as the interlopers made a circumnavigation of Guam.

The island of Guam is a U.S. territory that is of key strategic importance in the Pacific region. The bombers were reportedly armed with live nuclear cruise missiles, possibly Kh-55's which can deliver a 200-kiloton fireball on a target up to 1800 miles away. Each bomber can carry six of these weapons.

The incursion comes amid heightened tensions in the Pacific between China and Japan, with Russia signaling that it stands with the red Chinese. On February 7, Russian Su-27 fighters violated the sovereignty of Japan's airspace with an incursion that was intercepted over the northern Hokkaido province. Japan is a close U.S. ally.

The timing of this latest event was clearly meant to be a message directly to the American President. The flight is also unprecedented, in that Russian bombers have never been known to operate that far south and so far away from their bases.

U.S. military officials were relatively tight-lipped about the incident, citing security concerns, but a few more details are available at the following link.

http://freebeacon.com/bear-bombers-over-guam/

The question now becomes, how does the U.S. respond to these threats? Diplomatic protests, tit-for-tat incursions of our own? Or does the U.S. escalate, and send a very clear message that we can and will destroy our enemies? That last option certainly sounds like a better option if we could get away with it, but how does one send such a message without actually escalating events to the point where they get out of hand and a war suddenly unfolds? How does one send a very bold message that will instill fear, without the opponent needing to respond in order to save face?

What if there were a way we could actually attack Russia, with a weapon as powerful as a nuclear bomb, but without doing any serious damage but rather as a demonstration of our capabilities? A show of force, but one that the Russians would never dare accuse America of. Unless of course, they wanted to sound like lunatics, wanted to send their people into a state of utter panic, and basically were willing to start WWIII over it.

What if we could attack Russia with a weapon that would cause a blast 20 times larger than the atomic bombs dropped on Japan at the close of WWII?

Sounds pretty crazy of course, but it would have to, to make the plan actually work. It would have to sound crazy enough for the rest of the world to not even think about it, while at the same time sending a very clear message to those few in Russian leadership who would know better. Who know of secret things and who can read between the lines. They would also be the ones who could examine the debris for tell-tale signs of a deliberate strike, as opposed to an amazingly coincidental falling star.

So coincidental in fact that Cuba, Russia's notorious and key ally in the western hemisphere, also happened to get hit with a powerful meteorite as well, within hours of the Russian event.

But this is still just crazy talk right? We couldn't nuke a country without everyone knowing about it. Someone would see a missile get launched, and it's totally illegal to put nuclear missiles on satellites in space. Not to mention that there would be fallout and all sorts of telltale signs of a nuclear detonation. Unless of course the weapon wasn't nuclear, but still just as powerful. Does any sort of weapon like that actually exist?

It's quite possible actually.

The basic theory is called kinetic bombardment. The US Navy has already been successfully experimenting with various contractors to develop a ship-mounted kinetic energy railgun. Rather than delivering an explosive munition to a target, kinetic energy weapons simply deliver a hunk of inert solid material on a target with such extreme velocity that the impact energy is equal to or greater than that of an explosive device.

Military Video Captures Destructive Power of Navy’s Newest Railgun

The Navy weapons are technically considered to be a siege weapon, or a hyper-tech advancement of weapons like the catapult or trebuchet. To be a true kinetic bombardment weapon, it must be staged on an orbital platform, a satellite. Such a weapon would not violate the treaty which forbids nuclear weapons in space, but could actually be more deadly, less complex, and less costly. It is also something that the US military has been taking an interest in as early as the 1950's.

Check out this sub-entry from Wikipedia on Project Thor:

Project Thor

Project Thor is an idea for a weapons system that launches kinetic projectiles from Earth orbit to damage targets on the ground. Jerry Pournelle originated the concept while working in operations research at Boeing in the 1950s before becoming a science-fiction writer.[1][2]

The most described system is "an orbiting tungsten telephone pole with small fins and a computer in the back for guidance". The weapon can be down-scaled, an orbiting "crowbar" rather than a pole.[citation needed] The system described in the 2003 United States Air Force (USAF) report was that of 20-foot-long (6.1 m), 1-foot-diameter (0.30 m) tungsten rods, that are satellite controlled, and have global strike capability, with impact speeds of Mach 10.[3][4][5]

The time between deorbiting and impact would only be a few minutes, and depending on the orbits and positions in the orbits, the system would have a world-wide range.[citation needed] There is no requirement to deploy missiles, aircraft or other vehicles. Although the SALT II (1979) prohibited the deployment of orbital weapons of mass destruction, it did not prohibit the deployment of conventional weapons. The system is prohibited by neither the Outer Space Treaty nor the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty.[4][6]

The idea is that the weapon would inflict damage because it moves at orbital velocities, at least 9 kilometers per second. Smaller weapons can deliver measured amounts of energy as small as a 225 kg conventional bomb.[citation needed] Some systems are quoted as having the yield of a small tactical nuclear bomb.[5] These designs are envisioned as a bunker buster.[4][7]

In the case of the system mentioned in the 2003 USAF report above, a 6.1m x 0.3m tungsten cylinder impacting at Mach 10 has a kinetic energy equivalent to approximately 11.5 tons of TNT (or 7.2 tons of dynamite). The mass of such a cylinder is itself over 8 tons, so it is clear that the practical applications of such a system are limited to those situations where its other characteristics provide a decisive advantage - a conventional bomb/warhead of similar weight to the tungsten rod, delivered by conventional means, provides similar destructive capability and is a far more practical method.

The highly elongated shape and high density are to enhance sectional density and therefore minimize kinetic energy loss due to air friction and maximize penetration of hard or buried targets. The larger device is expected to be quite good at penetrating deeply buried bunkers and other command and control targets.[8] The smaller "crowbar" size might be employed for anti-armor, anti-aircraft, anti-satellite and possibly anti-personnel use.[citation needed]

The weapon would be very hard to defend against. It has a very high closing velocity and a small radar cross-section. Launch is difficult to detect. Any infra-red launch signature occurs in orbit, at no fixed position. The infra-red launch signature also has a small magnitude compared to a ballistic missile launch. One drawback of the system is that the weapon's sensors would almost certainly be blind during atmospheric reentry due to the plasma sheath that would develop ahead of it, so a mobile target could be difficult to hit if it performed any unexpected maneuvering.[citation needed] The system would also have to cope with atmospheric heating from re-entry, which could melt the weapon.[9]

While the larger version might be individually launched, the smaller versions would be launched from "pods" or "carriers" that contained several missiles.[citation needed]

The phrase "Rods from God" is also used to describe the same concept.[10] A USAF report called them "hypervelocity rod bundles".[11]

Now check out this Wiki entry on the Prompt Global Strike system. Some key points have been highlighted:

Prompt Global Strike (PGS) is a United States military effort to develop a system that can deliver a precision conventional weapon strike anywhere in the world within one hour,[1][2] in a similar manner to a nuclear ICBM. In April 2010, Marine Corps General James Cartwright explained the system's rationale, stating that "Today, unless you want to go nuclear, [the conventional military response time is] measured in days, maybe weeks".[3] A PGS system could also be useful during a nuclear conflict, potentially replacing nuclear weapons against 30 percent of targets.[4]

The PGS system will be designed to complement existing American rapid-response forces, such as Forward Deployed Forces, Air Expeditionary Groups (which can deploy within 48 hours) and carrier battle groups (which can respond within 96 hours).[5] Possible delivery systems include:
In 2010, the United States Air Force prototyped a PGS system based on a modified Minuteman III ICBM.[3] In March 2011, Air Force Major General David Scott stated that the service had no plans to use a sea- or land-based ICBM system for Prompt Global Strike, as they would be expensive to develop and potentially "dangerous." Instead, efforts would focus on a hypersonic glider.[6] However, the following day, Air Force Chief of Staff Norton Schwartz said that an ICBM-based PGS system was still an option.[7]

The administration of George W. Bush considered developing such a weapon in the 2000s, but rejected the idea because of fears that an ICBM-launched weapon would trigger the Russian nuclear-launch warning system, potentially provoking a nuclear war.[8] However, the Obama administration continued development of the system later in the decade.

A potential enemy cannot be certain that a launched ICBM contains only a conventional warhead, not a nuclear one. It is thus currently unclear what design features or precautions could convince China and Russia, two countries with launch-detection systems and nuclear ICBMs, to ignore their early-warning systems. Current ideas include a low-trajectory missile design, or allowing Russian and Chinese inspection of PGS missile sites.[3][5]

On 11 April 2010, United States Secretary of Defense Robert Gates indicated that the United States already had a Prompt Global Strike capability.[9] This coincided with the New START disarmament treaty signed on 8 April 2010, which set new, lower limits on ballistic missiles and their warheads. The treaty does not distinguish between conventional and nuclear versions of weapons, meaning any ballistic PGS missiles and warheads would count toward the new limit. However, the U.S. State Department has stated that this does not constrain plans for PGS deployment, since current plans do not come near the limits.[10] Nonetheless, in December 2010, Russian military experts indicated that the forthcoming S-500 missile defense system would include anti-hypersonic defenses.[11]

So as bizarre as the it sounded at first, we now see that the technology is actually there for such a strike on Russia (and Cuba) as the one just theorized. It is not science-fiction at all, but may have been the first real word application of such a radically advanced weapon platform.

Obviously the United States is never going to admit to launching a non-lethal but destructive show-of-force attack on another country. So that leaves it up to Russia to examine the debris and make the determination. Then of course, they will have clearly gotten the message in no uncertain terms, but it would not be in their interests either to accuse the United States of such an attack.

Therefore, this little conspiracy theory is something that will probably be never proven in my lifetime, but something interesting to consider just the same. And maybe in a hundred years from now, when a bunch of documents come to light and the world is a very different place, some historian will read this what I have written here today and say "Gee, that Captain Six really had his thinking cap on."

Or maybe I'm just off my nut, lol.

Here is a video of the meteorite strike in Russia. Note the strange "twin" tail coming off of it as it descended. Doesn't really seem to fit with what one would expect from a space rock tumbling into the atmosphere. On the other hand, this twin plume could be a sign of this "rods of the gods" weapon.

UPDATE:

'That's no meteor, it's an American weapon test': Russian politician's bizarre claim about 10 ton space rock as Cuba claims it was also hit earlier in the week

UPDATE 2:

Video appears to show object striking "meteor" causing it to explode. Some conspiracy buffs are saying that it was a UFO/aliens intervening to help mankind. I'm not really buying that, but I certainly would not rule out that perhaps the Russians intercepted the inbound traffic with a railgun of their own. Or perhaps it was part of the US plan to shoot down their own weapon as part of the demonstration and in order to make the threat that much more acute? Hard to say, but the video certainly does show a collision between two objects. Check it out.

...The local newspaper Znak reported the meteorite was intercepted by an air defense unit at the Urzhumka settlement near Chelyabinsk. Quoting a source in the military, it wrote a missile salvo blew the meteorite to pieces at an altitude of 20 kilometers.

Regnum news agency quoted a military source who claimed that the vapor condensation trail of the meteorite speaks to the fact that the meteorite was intercepted by air defenses...

America's Own Iron Curtain: DHS Suspends Constitution at Borders

Imagine for a moment, that the old Soviet Union were buttressed right up against the United States, where Canada or Mexico are. Now imagine which side of that border would scare you more. Which side the more oppressive police-state, where rights and liberty do not exist? Sadly, more and more each and every day the United States is becoming every terrible thing we ever imagined or were ever told about what laid beyond the old communist Iron Curtain. Are we in the land of the free? Hardly.

Warrantless strip-searches of children by the TSA's agents at airports, that corrupt agency's expansion of power outside of airports, highway checkpoints, alarming scandals within the DHS hidden from the public, helicopters swooping down from the sky to molest innocent people who are just out for a walk, class warfare as the government seizes bodily fluids of the poor without a warrant, and a frightening level of public support for all of this.

What sort of freedom is this? What sort of nation greets visitors and citizens alike with direct violations of the very values it preaches to the rest of the world? Where has the 4th Amendment gone? Where is the America where I was born?

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." ~Amendment IV, Constitution for the United States of America

That was in 2009. This is now:

Not only has the government declared our borders a "Constitution-free Zone" but now also claims that zone extends 100 miles inland from the borders. This move declares that virtually the entire northeast is now under martial law.

DHS Watchdog OKs ‘Suspicionless’ Seizure of Electronic Devices Along Border

The Department of Homeland Security’s civil rights watchdog has concluded that travelers along the nation’s borders may have their electronics seized and the contents of those devices examined for any reason whatsoever — all in the name of national security.

The DHS, which secures the nation’s border, in 2009 announced that it would conduct a “Civil Liberties Impact Assessment” of its suspicionless search-and-seizure policy pertaining to electronic devices “within 120 days.” More than three years later, the DHS office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties published a two-page executive summary of its findings.

“We also conclude that imposing a requirement that officers have reasonable suspicion in order to conduct a border search of an electronic device would be operationally harmful without concomitant civil rights/civil liberties benefits,” the executive summary said.

The memo highlights the friction between today’s reality that electronic devices have become virtual extensions of ourselves housing everything from e-mail to instant-message chats to photos and our papers and effects — juxtaposed against the government’s stated quest for national security.

The President George W. Bush administration first announced the suspicionless, electronics search rules in 2008. The President Barack Obama administration followed up with virtually the same rules a year later. Between 2008 and 2010, 6,500 persons had their electronic devices searched along the U.S. border, according to DHS data.

According to legal precedent, the Fourth Amendment — the right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures — does not apply along the border. By the way, the government contends the Fourth-Amendment-Free Zone stretches 100 miles inland from the nation’s actual border.

Civil rights groups like the American Civil Liberties Union suggest that “reasonable suspicion” should be the rule, at a minimum, despite that being a lower standard than required by the Fourth Amendment.

“There should be a reasonable, articulate reason why the search of our electronic devices could lead to evidence of a crime,” Catherine Crump, an ACLU staff attorney, said in a telephone interview. “That’s a low threshold.”

The DHS watchdog’s conclusion isn’t surprising, as the DHS is taking that position in litigation in which the ACLU is challenging the suspicionless, electronic-device searches and seizures along the nation’s borders. But that conclusion nevertheless is alarming considering it came from the DHS civil rights watchdog, which maintains its mission is “promoting respect for civil rights and civil liberties.”

“This is a civil liberties watchdog office. If it is doing its job property, it is supposed to objectively evaluate. It has the power to recommend safeguards to safeguard Americans’ rights,” Crump said. “The office has not done that and the public has the right to know why.”

Toward that goal, the ACLU on Friday filed a Freedom of Information Act request demanding to see the full report that the executive summary discusses.

Meantime, a lawsuit the ACLU brought on the issue concerns a New York man whose laptop was seized along the Canadian border in 2010 and returned 11 days later after his attorney complained.

At an Amtrak inspection point, Pascal Abidor showed his U.S. passport to a federal agent. He was ordered to move to the cafe car, where they removed his laptop from his luggage and “ordered Mr. Abidor to enter his password,” according to the lawsuit.

Agents asked him about pictures they found on his laptop, which included Hamas and Hezbollah rallies. He explained that he was earning a doctoral degree at a Canadian university on the topic of the modern history of Shiites in Lebanon.

He was handcuffed and then jailed for three hours while the authorities looked through his computer while numerous agents questioned him, according to the suit, which is pending in New York federal court.
